About Us
Our neighborhood is located four (4) miles from Downtown Dallas, Texas. It is surrounded by Greenville Ave, Belmont, Henderson, Central (75) and Goodwin. We have approximately 1400 residents, all of whom are kept informed by our monthly newsletter and meetings.
Vickery Place was founded in 1911 and abounds with Craftsman bungalows, Tudors and old-growth Pecan trees. One of the original suburbs of Dallas, it is a piece of Dallas history in the middle of thriving residential and commercial neighborhoods.
VPNA has no dues! If you live in Vickery Place (homeowner or renter), you are automatically a member of the Vickery Place Neighborhood Association.
We support ourselves through our annual National Night Out block Party, Annual Home Tour and programs such as the Kroger Cares Card.
Simply print out this card and present it each time you shop at any Kroger and Vickery Place will receive a percentage of your total grocery bill. It's an easy way to support all of our programs and improve your neighborhood. If you need a Kroger card, we will be happy to get one to you. A community resembling ours - Fairmount Southside in Fort Worth - was put on the National Register in 1990 and consists of over 1,000 homes built mostly from 1905 - 1920. Please visit their site at www.historicfairmount.com
